Job description


As part of our mission to pave the way for children's success worldwide, Therapy Source is seeking a full-time Special Education Coordinator to provide in-person services to charter school students. This position is for the upcoming school year.
Special Education Coordinator Salary: $60-$62 per hour
Special Education Coordinator Position Details:
  • Full time (7:30am-4pm)
  • Responsible for the SPED programs at all four campuses
  • Working with the SPED teachers to make sure they stay in compliance with deadlines and paperwork/coach and support them across the campuses and provide service minutes as needed
  • SPED coordination experience preferred

Special Education Coordinator Qualification(s):
  • Licensure as a Special Education Teacher in the state of Ohio
  • School Certification in the state of Ohio
  • Possession of (or willingness to obtain) up-to-date clearances
  • Proof of individual professional liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)

Special Education Coordinator Responsibilities May Include:
  • Implementing specially designed instruction to drive student achievement
  • Conducting progress monitoring data and adjusting instruction based on the data
  • Establishing a positive, structured, achievement-focused classroom
  • Providing support to students, parents, and general education staff and supporting student learning
  • Mentoring and coaching students on self-regulation and organizational skills
  • Developing effective IEPs that translate into measurable results for students
  • Participating in multidisciplinary meetings
