Tesoro Technology
has partnered with a prominent national survey and engineering firm specializing in renewable energy and land development. We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Land Survey Crew Chief to work remotely, primarily supporting projects in your area. This contract-to-hire position offers significant growth opportunities within a dynamic and expanding company.

Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
Travel Requirement: 2-4 weeks minimum at a time
Hours: Average of 75-85 hours per week due to travel

***Must have a Valid Driver’s License and clean driving history***

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Land Survey Crew Chief to join our client's team. This role involves delivering exceptional surveying services while working independently and traveling extensively within your region. The primary responsibilities include conducting pre-design boundary surveys and ALTA surveys for electric vehicle charging stations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Physically agile, able to navigate various construction sites and remote locations.
  • Capable of carrying survey equipment (up to 50 pounds) and walking long distances.
  • Must be physically fit to handle the demands of the position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Surveying, Engineering Technology, or related field experience.
  • Experience in Land Development (Commercial and Residential) and Public Infrastructure projects.
  • Proven ability to coordinate activities with surveying technicians and engineering staff.
  • Knowledge of searching for and recovering Public Land Survey System monuments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven leadership skills in managing and mentoring a survey crew.
  • Proficient in operating total stations and GPS in static and RTK modes for various surveying tasks.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 10 and CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a capacity to work independently.
  • Basic proficiency in office software (Microsoft Office Suite).
