Job description

Technomics is a growing, employee-owned decision analytics company specializing in cost and economic analysis to help organizations make better decisions faster. We are seeking a difference maker to join our team as a Senior Contracts Administrator in our Arlington, Virginia office.

The Senior Contracts Administrator will work closely with the Contracts Manager and Chief Financial Officer to deliver high-quality internal and external contractual support in a fast-growing organization. This role provides end-to-end contract administration and oversight across multiple project teams, supporting contracts from award through closeout.

In this role, the Senior Contracts Administrator will analyze contractual requirements, identify risks and issues, and develop practical, compliant solutions. The position requires effective collaboration and communication with Project Managers, technical and financial staff, subcontractors, and internal functional teams to ensure contractual, financial, and performance objectives are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently administer and manage a diverse portfolio of complex federal contracts and task orders, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursement, and Time and Materials (T&M), from pre-award through closeout.
  • Lead contract and task order setup, modifications, funding actions, reporting, and closeout activities in Costpoint, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Serve as a primary advisor to Project Managers and senior leadership, providing guidance on contractual requirements, funding status, performance risks, and compliance obligations.
  • Proactively monitor contract performance related to cost, schedule, funding, and scope, identify risks or issues, and recommend and help implement corrective actions.
  • Interpret and apply contract terms and conditions, FAR/DFARS provisions, and agency-specific requirements; escalate issues as appropriate and recommend resolution strategies.
  • Review, negotiate, and execute non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other routine contractual instruments in support of proposal and task order efforts, within delegated authority.
  • Coordinate with Accounting, Subcontracts, Proposal, and Project teams to ensure alignment across contract administration, billing, and reporting activities.
  • Lead and support contract closeout efforts, including coordination of final invoices, audits, deliverables, and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready contract files and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Exercise a high level of independent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, contracts management, finance, or a related discipline; or an equivalent combination of education, professional training, and relevant work experience.
  • 6+ years of progressively responsible experience in Federal Government Contracting, supporting DoD and/or civilian agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience administering complex federal contract types, including Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursement, and Time and Materials (T&M), across multiple task orders and programs.
  • Advanced proficiency with Costpoint required, including contract setup, task order modifications, funding actions, reporting, and closeout processes.
  • Strong working knowledge of applicable FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations; ability to interpret and apply contractual terms independently.
  • Proven ability to lead contract administration activities with minimal oversight, identify risks, and proactively recommend solutions to Project Managers and senior leadership.
  • Experience reviewing, negotiating, and advising on NDAs and other non-complex contractual agreements in support of proposal and task order efforts.
  • Excellent organizational, detail-oriented, and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate contractual impacts and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and safeguard confidential, proprietary, and sensitive information.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective professional relationships with internal teams, customers, and subcontractors, and to contribute to a collaborative and professional work environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
