Job description

Overview

Technology Service Corporation (TSC) is seeking an Aerospace Engineer to support work at the Naval Research Laboratory. This position offers the opportunity to directly impact high-priority Navy missions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct advanced fluid dynamics simulations to characterize aerodynamic loads and aerothermal environments across a wide range of flight regimes.
  • Develop and apply trajectory modeling tools, integrating aerodynamic predictions into 6‑DOF models.
  • Use industry-standard CFD tools (Star‑CCM, CBAero, Cart3D, TAOS) and CAD platforms (Siemens NX Design, SolidWorks) to support design and analysis.
  • Perform data analysis with MATLAB and other tools to support engineering recommendations.
Qualifications
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in aerospace engineering, with emphasis on aerodynamic or aerothermal analysis.
  • Proficiency in computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools such as Star‑CCM, CBAero, Cart3D, and TAOS.
  • Experience developing trajectory modeling tools and integrating aerodynamic predictions into 6‑DOF models.
  • Strong CAD skills with Siemens NX Design or SolidWorks.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools, including MATLAB.
Salary & Benefits

Salary range: $100,000 – $133,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
