We specialize in developing J2EE, .NET, SOA, Portals, and database-driven applications. Our extensive knowledge spans across all application tiers. Since, we were founded in 2003, Synthesis has been delivering large-scale systems based on design patterns, service-oriented architectures, dynamic and intutive web interfaces, and web services. Our clients include Fortune 100 companies and a number of government agencies.
Job Description
Synthesis Systems is looking for a Java Developer for a long-term, contract in Herndon, VA.
** The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to government contract. Must be able to pass a background investigation. **
  1. Investigate, diagnose, and resolve production issues with a quick turnaround time and communicate root cause and workaround options to team members and clients
  2. Independently resolve system defects to be in-line with system requirements
  3. Design, develop, and unit test new enhancement requests
  4. Technical analysis and documentation of complex functions in the system
  5. Interact with other developers, testers and analysts on release and team initiatives

Qualifications
** The candidate must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder due to government contract. Must be able to pass a background investigation. **
- Strong Java and J2EE application development experience with at least 5 years of experience.
- Strong Communication skills
- Must have ability to analyze requirements and formulate design
- Experience with Spring/Hibernate
- Experience with JDBC and SQL
- Experience with JBoss, Tomcat or Websphere
