ABOUT THE ROLE

The NHA will provide strategic and operational leadership across all facility departments, ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, and a positive culture for both residents and staff. The ideal candidate brings a hands-on leadership style, strong knowledge of CMS guidelines, and a commitment to serving the long-term care community in rural Colorado.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee all aspects of facility operations including clinical, financial, and administrative functions
  • Ensure full compliance with state and federal regulations (CDPHE, CMS)
  • Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and frontline staff
  • Manage budgets, census development, and payer mix optimization
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with residents, families, and the local community
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives and survey readiness
  • Partner with clinical leadership to ensure resident care standards are met or exceeded

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Colorado NHA license (or ability to obtain reciprocity) — required
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a licensed Nursing Home Administrator
  • Strong working knowledge of CMS regulations, PDPM, and state survey process
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and drive census growth
  • Experience in rural or community-based SNF settings a plus
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field preferred

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Performance-based bonus opportunity
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate
