Superior Rigging & Erecting is seeking an experienced Heavy Haul Driver to join our transportation team in Atlanta. This is an opportunity for a professional driver who takes pride in operating safely, maintaining equipment, and transporting cranes, crawler crane components, counterweights, structural steel, and oversized construction equipment.
Our drivers play a critical role in supporting crane, rigging, steel erection, and heavy haul operations throughout Georgia and the Southeast. What You'll Do
  • Safely transport cranes, crawler crane components, counterweights, structural steel, and oversized construction equipment.
  • Operate tractors, lowboy trailers, detachable gooseneck trailers, and other specialized heavy haul equipment.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
  • Properly secure all loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company standards.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and operations to support project schedules.
  • Maintain assigned truck and trailer in clean, safe, and professional condition.
  • Report maintenance concerns promptly.
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
  • Represent Superior Rigging & Erecting professionally with customers and on every jobsite.

Requirements
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Valid Class A CDL.
  • Clean driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Minimum of three years of commercial driving experience.
  • Experience hauling oversized or heavy construction equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and cargo securement requirements.
  • Commitment to safety, professionalism, and equipment care.
  • Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as project schedules require.
  • Ability to work full-time from our Atlanta, Georgia location.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience transporting crawler cranes and crane components.
  • Experience operating lowboy, detachable gooseneck, or multi-axle trailers.
  • Experience in the crane, rigging, heavy haul, or construction industry.
  • TWIC Card.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
