Our technology starts with you. YOUR ROLE The Field Applications Engineer will cover the Irvine, CA area, providing customer support to Analog and Power systems with focus on Automotive applications, including but not limited to High-Side and Low Side Drivers, e-fuses (monolithic and controllers) and Power Management solutions. The candidate may be required to present at ST technical conferences and facilitate product specific customer training sessions (seminars/workshops) or give technical presentations on specific projects as part of the work with key customers.

YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES 4-6 years of experience. BSEE or MSEE. Knowledge and hands-on experience with Analog and Power Electronics devices and their applications.

Experience with Automotive architecture and sub-systems, related testing tools, methodology and industry standards for ICE, Hybrid and Electric vehicles is required. Ability and skills to perform work at the bench in a lab with minimal supervision, and the ability to organize and perform complex test patterns and procedures. Advanced hands-on experience with oscilloscope, electronic load, lab power supplies and other bench equipment is required.

Familiarity with GUI (Graphical User Interface), Firmware, a scripting language such as Python to control automated testing systems and programming of devices through registers manipulation is a plus. Interpersonal skills to interact with customers as required, with the responsibility to support engineers at key customers in the development or troubleshooting of solutions based on ST Analog and Power products for Automotive applications. "Can do" attitude, ability to perform quality work under pressure and to manage multiple projects and priorities is vital to be successful in this challenging yet rewarding position.

Team player with good communication and problem-solving skills, to successfully cooperate with ST personnel in other technical roles or product marketing, contributing to the promotion of ST solutions at key customers and to the achievement of the assigned business objectives. Some travel may be required to support customers on-site, in California or other areas of North America. Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other office productivity software.

English business proficiency. If the candidate is based in the Bay Area, the travel be 50% to support the customer in Irvine. Or we are looking for someone who is ready to relocate to Irvine CA.

At STMicroelectronics, base salary is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Non - Bay Area (Irvine) - The base annual salary range for this role is between $ 103,400 to $ 129,300 USD. Bay Area - The base annual salary range for this role is between $115,400 - $144,200 USD.
