This role works as a liaison between contractors, customers, sales staff and store team members. A typical day would include bidding jobs, selection of products, coordinating with contractors, assisting at the sales counter and management of ongoing jobs.

Responsibilities of Advanced Sales

Assist outside sales, contractors and customers in store and by phone with product and pricing questions.

• Provide support in the sales process through:
• Complete bids for customers.
• Communicate with buyers on POs.
• Schedule delivery of material to customers.
• Execution of monthly sales goals.
• Collaborate with counter sales to support the overall operations of the store.
• Work with and build effective relationships with store sales staff, outside sales staff, building materials operations and other stakeholders.

• Outgoing and enjoys working with a wide variety of customers.
• Has the capability to handle multiple tasks and projects.
• Takes pride in helping the team achieve success.
• Organized with strong time management skills.

• Previous experience in a sales or customer service role.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with team members.
• Aptitude to think critically and solve problems.
• Proficient in various software applications including Microsoft Excel, Outlook and web-based applications.
• Must be 18 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Availability to work various shifts during store hours Monday – Friday 7:00a-5p and some Saturdays 7:30a-1p.

Preferred Experience

• Building Materials product knowledge.
• Advanced Sales Experience
