    Job description

    Position Overview

    The Customer Service Engineer (CSE) serves as the primary liaison between the customer plant and the manufacturing facility, ensuring quality concerns are addressed quickly and effectively. This position requires strong engineering knowledge, customer-facing communication skills, quality analysis experience, and proficiency with computer systems.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Serve as the communication link between the customer plant and the manufacturing facility.
    • Re-verify parts and product information within company systems.
    • Perform first-level analysis of non-conformances and quality issues.
    • Verify suspect products and maintain test equipment.
    • Expedite non-conforming material back to the manufacturing facility on the same day.
    • Enter and maintain data within the Incident Reporting System (IRS).
    • Provide technical support and system expertise to customers and internal teams.
    • Conduct and coordinate initial 24-hour containment activities.
    • Coordinate additional containment efforts as needed.
    • Participate as a key member of quality response and problem-solving teams.
    • Prepare weekly trip and activity reports.
    • Monitor and negotiate customer return PPM (Parts Per Million) performance metrics.
    • Coordinate special customer events and activities.
    • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support product quality and business growth.
    Required Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
    • 6-10+ years of related work experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality, or customer support environments.
    • Strong computer proficiency, including:
      • Microsoft Excel
      • Microsoft Word
      • Email applications
    • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
    • Experience interacting directly with customers.
    • Ability to analyze quality issues and implement containment actions.
