    Job description

    SMS is hiring a Network Administrator, Mid to support our Base Infrastructure (BIM) contract at McConnell AFB, KS. This position will provide Network Operations Center (NOC) support from forward-deployed locations ensuring continuity of NOC operations and distributed network management capabilities.

    Job Responsibilities

    Serves as backup NOC operations capability providing redundancy for centralized NOC functions
    Monitors assigned network infrastructure and systems from remote locations
    Coordinates with primary NOC personnel ensuring seamless handoff of monitoring and management
    responsibilities
    Provides NOC management decision-making support during primary NOC disruptions or contingency
    situations
    Performs network monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting activities independently
    Maintains proficiency with all NOC tools, processes, and procedures
    Supports distributed operations model enabling resilient network management during crisis or disaster
    recovery scenarios
    Coordinates with on-site base personnel for localized network issues
    Ensures continuous network monitoring coverage and operational awareness
    Participates in NOC training and readiness activities
    Maintains secure communications and coordination channels with primary NOC

    Required Qualifications

    • Possesses Bachelor's degree in information technology, network engineering, or related field
    • Minimum 5 years of Network Operations Center or Network Administration experience
    • Cisco CCNA requred
    • CompTIA Security+ required
    • DoD Secret security clearance required
