We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Brown & Sharpe Machinist to join our top-tier manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional proficiency in set-up, operate, and optimize Brown & Sharpe Machines and other manual CAM Machines. This role is crucial in maintaining and enhancing our manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the production of high-quality components that meet stringent industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set-up, operate, and optimize Brown & Sharpe Machines and other manual CAM Machines
  • Interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce precision tools and dies
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and related equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity
  • Interpret drawings, GD&T and work orders.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
  • Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and quality control teams to improve manufacturing processes and product quality
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
  • Perform in-process and final inspection using measuring instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records of tool and die maintenance, repairs, and modifications
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste in the manufacturing process
Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or associate degree in tool and die making preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Brown & Sharpe machinist or related manufacturing industries
  • Extensive knowledge of materials, metallurgy, and heat treatment processes used in manufacturing
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
  • Strong understanding of precision measurement techniques and tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, etc
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime and weekends as needed
