Job Description
Summary:Set up and fit detailed parts on aircraft, aerospace and similar assemblies. Performs hand grinding, expanding and hand fitting to blueprint dimensions for heliarc tacking, welding and/or resistance welding.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under general supervision, must be able to perform a variety of job duties including, but not limited to:
  • Performs such typical operations as aligning machined details or stampings preparatory to welding operations.
  • Trims, scribes, files or grinds parts to templates or scribed lines.
  • Sets up single jobs in assembly jig for welding.
  • Assists higher classified workers as required.
  • Performs rework, repair and other associated operations relating to the work described.
  • Maintain minimum output of 65%.
  • Maintain minimum product quality acceptance of 90%.
  • Follow all Senior policies and procedure.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Education and/or Experience:
  • High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 3- 6 months of related and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
