Job Description
As Director IT - Software & Project at Honeywell, you will lead IT strategy and digital solutions deployment that advance Business capabilities and directly enable efficiency and outcome. This role is highly strategic and will shape the future of Honeywell's software landscape, ensuring scalable, secure, and innovative solutions that support growth and operational excellence.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted IT business partner to Honeywell Building Automation (BA) Project Business, owning both short- and long-term digital technology needs. You will balance strategic transformation initiatives with the operational rigor required to keep the business running-driving efficiency, enabling growth, and delivering measurable business value.
You will report directly to the CIO of Honeywell Building Solutions and be based in Atlanta, GA, operating on a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • IT Business Partner / Divisional CIO: Partner with senior business leaders to define and execute digital transformation strategies aligned with business priorities
  • Artificial Intelligence: Technology leader partnering with the business to promote AI based autonomous capabilities that enable business growth and efficiency
  • Software Strategy & Execution: Lead the development and execution of software strategies that support business objectives and customer needs.
  • People Leadership: Build, lead, and mentor a team of software engineering leaders and practitioners, fostering innovation, accountability, and career growth.
  • Software Delivery Excellence: Oversee software development and deployment processes, ensuring high standards for quality, security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Sales-to-Revenue Transformation: Lead the digital transformation of the end-to-end sales-to-revenue lifecycle, ensuring all software-enabled building solutions are supported by a secure, high-performing, and scalable enterprise infrastructure.
  • Software Ecosystem Ownership: Define and lead the IT ecosystem required for modern software development and deployment, including tools, platforms, and processes.
  • Strategic Vision & Roadmap: Develop and execute a comprehensive IT roadmap for connected software solutions, aligned with business goals, customer requirements, and market trends.
  • Software Revenue Enablement: Proactively address software revenue capability requirements to support recurring revenue and subscription-based business models.
  • ERP & Billing Integration: Bridge CRM (sales) and ERP (finance) systems to automate recurring billing for SaaS-based building services, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
  • CPQ Partnership: Oversee Configure, Price, Quote (CPQ) platforms (e.g., Salesforce CPQ), ensuring support for complex hardware and software subscription bundles common in building technology solutions.
  • Architecture, Security & Risk: Partner with connected product teams to assess software architecture, cybersecurity risk, network design, and infrastructure readiness for large-scale deployments.

Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
  • 10+ years of experience in IT software development, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role serving as an IT business partner for a comparable business.
  • Emerging Technology Expertise: Strong experience with AI, cloud transformation (Azure and/or AWS), IoT, and connected products.
  • Proven ability to identify and deploy AI tools and capabilities that drive productivity across both enterprise operations and customer-facing products.
  • Experience deploying large-scale project management systems and delivering digital solutions supporting GPMO (Global Program Management Office) processes.
  • Deep understanding of software architecture, design patterns, system integration, and enterprise-scale platforms.
  • Experience leading or partnering on CPQ implementations, particularly for solutions involving integrated hardware and recurring software subscriptions.
  • Strong collaboration experience with connected product teams on software architecture reviews, cybersecurity, infrastructure, and network design.
  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms, cloud environments (Azure & AWS), and enterprise security implementations.
