With milling facilities in 14 locations across 10 countries and 10 trading offices in 9 countries, we produce approximately two million metric tons of grain-based products annually.

    Our vertically integrated approach-spanning procurement, transportation, and processing-ensures quality, consistency, and supply chain efficiency. We manage bulk freight and chartered vessels, overseeing logistics for both in-house and third-party customers. Every year, we source, transport, and market around 14 million metric tons of diverse commodities, supporting food security and economic growth in the regions we serve.

    GENERAL PURPOSE

    Lead strategic capital project sourcing, strategic procurement initiatives, continuous improvement, and value creation initiatives that enhance organizational performance, strengthen procurement capabilities, reduce risk, and maximize return on capital investments. Partner cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Finance, and affiliate leadership to drive procurement effectiveness, operational excellence, and sustainable business value.

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Identify, support and lead cross-functional procurement transformation projects from initiation through implementation, ensuring effective governance, stakeholder alignment, risk mitigation, and value delivery.
    • Support procurement-related initiatives such as AI, reporting, automation, and digital transformation efforts that enhance procurement capabilities and drive strategic business objectives.
    • Support select project teams through all phases of the capital project lifecycle from planning and supplier selection through implementation.
    • Build, maintain, and govern a portfolio of value creation initiatives focused on cost savings, cost avoidance, working capital improvement, supplier innovation, process optimization, and risk reduction.
    • Establish and manage a Value Creation Pipeline to ensure a continuous flow of validated opportunities and sustainable results.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that simplify processes, eliminate waste, strengthen service delivery, and improve organizational productivity across the procurement function.
    • Leverage Lean Six Sigma methodologies, automation, and data-driven problem solving to create scalable, sustainable operational improvements and lasting business impact.
    • Develop standardized procurement processes, governance frameworks, tools, playbooks, and best practices that improve consistency, compliance, and effectiveness across affiliates.
    • Design and deliver training programs, workshops, and knowledge -sharing initiatives that strengthen sourcing, procurement, project management, and continuous improvement capabilities including best practice development.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor's degree in supply chain, Procurement, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Finance, or related field.

    8-15+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, capital projects, supply chain, operations, or related leadership roles.

    Demonstrated experience leading CAPEX sourcing and large-scale project procurement initiatives.

    Experience managing cross-functional projects and driving organizational impacts.

    Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, PMP, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent certifications preferred.

    OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

    Financial and business acumen with strong communication capabilities.

    Data-driven mindset with experience in procurement analytics, KPI reporting, dashboard development, and performance measurement.

    Proficiency with automation, reporting tools, and digital transformation initiatives.

    Ability to influence stakeholders across multiple functions, locations, and organizational levels.

    Demonstrated success delivering measurable financial, operational, and strategic results.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT

    Work may be performed in a manufacturing or professional office environment and involves frequent contact with others as part of Seaboard's collaborative culture. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, and with sufficient mobility to perform assigned tasks. Regular use of standard office equipment, such as computers and phones, is required. This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended sitting and standing. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. The position requires specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
