    The Director, Strategic Partnerships will report to the Head of Ads Business Development and will be responsible for building a strategy and framework for complex partnerships that translates to revenue driving initiatives. This role is responsible for building executive relationships with industry leading data, measurement and identity partnerships in addition to negotiating complex deals. For the partnerships that this individual owns, they will manage partners to support business teams within Samsung Ads. They will maintain operational excellence with each partner and monitor opportunities to expand the scope of each partnership to best meet the needs of the business. This role will likely move into people management within the first year or two and will step in immediately as a thought leader on the team.

    Role and Responsibilities
    • Responsible for the performance of high-impact partnerships Build the high level strategy for strategic partners, identifying critical gaps in our stack and offering and sourcing partners to fill them.
    • Define KPIs and performance frameworks that govern our most critical partnerships; lead high-level QBRs that focus on strategic expansion rather than just operational maintenance.
    • Maintain executive level relationships with our most strategic partners, ensuring seamless communication and capitalizing on growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with leadership to evaluate the "Build, Buy, or Partner" landscape, providing the commercial logic and data-driven insights to guide investment decisions.

    The candidate must be organized, detailed oriented, flexible, transparent, and possess the ability to establish priorities with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should understand the AdTech data ecosystem - including knowledge of vendors in the space. This candidate will be self-motivated and solutions-focused with an ability to unravel internal complexity and navigate a large organization. The position will also require excellent project management and cross-functional communication skills.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • BA/BS required 10+ years of professional experience in AdTech with 6+ years’ experience in Business Development, Corporate Development, or Strategic Partnerships.
    • Proven record of executing deals.
    • High degree of comfort with redlining, negotiating and closing complex deals.
    • You must be able to bridge the gap between business goals, technical needs, and legal requirements.
    • Experience leading sophisticated, high-impact projects with cross-functional teams in a variety of regions/time zones.
    • Strong problem solving skills such as prioritization, critical thinking, and hypothesis development.
    • Ability to model the commercial impact of a partnership and use data to justify a go/no-go decision.
    • Ability to speak the language of Product and Engineering.
    • No coding experience is required, but you must be able to understand how a partners’ API or SDK will integrate into Samsung’s stack.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Leadership and management experience preferred.
    • Self-motivated, assertive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

    Skills and Qualifications

    Salary Range Pay Transparency: Compensation for this role, for candidates based in New York City, NY is expected to be between $210,000 and $240,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
