Job description

Overview

You’ll play a key role in building RSM’s marketing data infrastructure, leading foundational architecture decisions for Adobe Customer Journey Analytics, a future customer data platform, and journey orchestration. Your work will define the data foundation that supports RSM’s marketing technology strategy and drives future growth.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the current Adobe Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) implementation, identifying data model, instrumentation, and reporting gaps and enhance performance and governance.
  • Architect the connection between CJA and the incoming CDP to enable unified buyer‑journey analysis with resolved identity.
  • Lead the full vendor evaluation for a Customer Data Platform (CDP), including requirements definition, marketplace assessment, proof‑of‑concept work, and recommendation with a business case.
  • Design the data model, identity‑resolution strategy, and audience‑activation framework for account‑based marketing, buyer‑journey personalization, and demand generation.
  • Own implementation governance, partnering with implementation partners and data engineering to ensure correct first‑time delivery.
  • Establish integration patterns connecting the CDP to CRM (Dynamics365), marketing automation, intent data, and analytics to maintain clean data flow across the stack.
  • Evaluate journey‑orchestration platforms (e.g., Adobe Journey Optimizer, Braze) and recommend one that best fits RSM’s stack, then design the architecture that links CDP audiences to real‑time cross‑channel experiences.
  • Define decision logic, suppression rules, frequency caps, and personalization tokens for effective journey orchestration.
  • Partner with demand generation and content teams to map high‑priority buyer journeys and construct the technical scaffolding needed to deliver tailored experiences.
  • Own the architectural vision of RSM’s full Martech ecosystem—Adobe Experience Platform, CJA, Dynamics365, marketing automation, intent data, and web analytics—ensuring coherent system operation and preventing stack sprawl.
  • Evaluate new platform investments with a build‑vs‑buy‑vs‑configure lens and present evidence‑based recommendations to leadership.
  • Serve as the internal authority on Martech architecture, providing clarity and direction in all stack‑related discussions.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in martech, marketing data platforms, or marketing operations in a B2B enterprise environment, with demonstrable evidence of architectural decision‑making.
  • Proven experience evaluating and selecting technology platforms, including vendor assessment and post‑implementation success.
  • Hands‑on familiarity with the CDP landscape (composable services such as Hightouch, Segment, ActionIQ, or packaged solutions like Adobe Real‑Time CDP, Salesforce Data Cloud) and deep knowledge of data modeling, identity resolution, and audience activation.
  • Ability to architect across a multi‑platform stack, linking CDPs, CRMs, analytics tools, and data infrastructure into a cohesive system.
  • Strong command of B2B data concepts—including account hierarchies, lead‑to‑account matching, intent data, firmographic enrichment, and ABM audience frameworks.
  • Stakeholder credibility that enables influence of senior leaders on technical decisions without formal authority.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; an advanced degree is a plus.
Preferred
  • Direct experience with Adobe Experience Platform and/or Adobe Customer Journey Analytics.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics365 as a data source and activation destination.
  • Exposure to composable CDP architectures, reverse ETL, and marketing‑stack data‑warehousing.
  • Experience in professional services, financial services, or similar B2B environments where the product is expertise and relationships rather than a physical good.
  • Background in marketing analytics or buyer‑journey measurement, with an understanding of the data’s ultimate purpose.
Team and Flexibility

The role follows a flexible work model that may include remote work, office, client site, or other relevant locations; in‑person attendance is required when business needs demand.

Benefits

RSM offers a competitive benefits and compensation package, flexibility in schedule, and opportunities for growth within the organization.
