Plumbing Foreman is responsible for maintaining an open, positive, and professional line of communication with customers, vendors, general contractors, internal customers, and trade partners. The Foreman is responsible for supervising employees and maintaining a safe working environment compliant with government regulatory guidelines and Rogers Safety systems. This position is onsite and requires out-of-state travel.
Requirements
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (LIST IS NOT INCLUSIVE)
• Ensure work site is compliant with OSHA regulations and Rogers Safety protocols.
• Ensure materials, installation and schedules are met.
• Maintain consistent contact with General Contractors to be aware at all times of expected installation dates.
• Request and coordinate Plumbing material and equipment needs with purchasing department and/or project management.
• Coordinate delivery of material and equipment to the job site general contractor and project manager.
• Check options and equipment list to ensure material is correct.
• Keep project status up to date to ensure timely delivery.
• Lay out crews to install material on scheduled dates.
• Attend and participate in GC meetings.
• Conduct weekly inspections, and safety meetings. Provide copies of signed safety forms to General Contractor and Rogers Safety team.
• Complete all required job reports on daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
• Walk job constantly to follow-up with installers.
• Schedule and direct quality control technician daily, communicate with technician constantly to maintain schedule.
• Identify problems that need to be corrected.
• Follow-up on all purchase orders and/or extra work.
• Maintain open and positive communication with General Contractor, Project Manager, and field employees.
• Manage Sub-contractors, ensure work done meets contract and company requirements.
• Keep up to date with all Rogers Policy and Procedures, industry standards and government regulations.
• Install Plumbing on project sites.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Know relevant building codes, current legislation, regulations, policies and procedures for the installation and maintenance of systems.
• Installation of plumbing materials, equipment, and appropriately matched systems.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other trades.
• Must have team building skills.
• Analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal, presentation and listening communication skills.
• Effective negotiation and mediation skills.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office 365 suite and custom accounting software.
• Time Management and Stress Management skills.
• Mathematical aptitude.
• Must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge of air duct distribution systems, commercial, and industrial.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• OSHA 30 Certification Required.
• 7 or more years of experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Required to stand, walk, and sit.
• Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
• Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
• Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
