This position will work Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm

As an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician at ROCKWOOL you will be responsible for maintenance, repair and troubleshooting of the latest electrical equipment. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you have a keen eye to identify potential problems in electrical design and will work as part of a dynamic team of industrial electricians and electrical engineers collectively focused on continuous improvement and operational uptime.

What you bring:
  • 2-year degree or equivalent certification or work experience required.
  • 2-3 years' practical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment and with automated equipment required.
  • Proficient knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers(PLC)/Automation, Siemens preferred
  • Grow and develop the team by sharing knowledge/experience.

What you will be doing:
  • Install and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) using skills to troubleshoot with communication software.
  • Perform Maintenance and Electrical tasks including but not limited to the following: Calibrating, monitoring, repairing and maintaining transmitters, controllers, plant safety systems, power systems and sensors.
  • Maintain equipment by way of planned preventive maintenance programs, keeping maintenance records per company policies as well as advanced troubleshooting of electrical/electronic equipment during shift.
  • Provide electrical and instrumentation support to the functional area to ensure production can continue in a safe and effective manner.
  • Install, calibrate, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical instrumentation, equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls and related devices for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
  • Install, visually examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, transformers, conduits, feeders, fiber-optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
