Projects include water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, utility systems, and other technically challenging public works. The Project Manager will oversee projects from preconstruction and procurement through field execution, commissioning, and closeout while partnering closely with field leadership, engineers, subcontractors, and public-sector clients.

The ideal candidate brings strong electrical construction experience along with exposure to municipal, water/wastewater, industrial, or similar infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, procurement, and cost controls
  • Review electrical plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, billing, and project documentation
  • Coordinate electrical scopes with mechanical systems, process equipment, controls, and other trades
  • Oversee procurement and installation coordination for major electrical equipment and systems
  • Partner with Superintendents and field teams to resolve constructability and coordination issues
  • Manage subcontractors, vendors, engineers, inspectors, and owner representatives
  • Maintain project schedules and identify potential cost, schedule, or procurement risks
  • Participate in owner and agency meetings and maintain strong client relationships
  • Support testing, startup, commissioning, punch list, and project closeout
  • Ensure projects meet contractual, safety, quality, and public-agency requirements

Requirements

  • 5-10+ years of construction experience with progressive project management responsibility
  • Strong electrical construction background required
  • Experience managing public works, municipal, industrial, or infrastructure projects strongly preferred
  • Water/wastewater treatment plant or pump station experience highly preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution, controls, instrumentation, generators, switchgear, or related infrastructure systems
  • Strong understanding of project financials, forecasting, change management, scheduling, and procurement
  • Experience working with public agencies, engineers, inspectors, and complex contract documents preferred
  • Proficiency with construction management and project controls software
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent industry experience considered

Compensation & Benefits

  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid holidays and PTO
  • Professional development and advancement opportunities
  • Opportunity to take ownership of complex public infrastructure projects with a growing contractor
