Raytheon is seeking a Program Manager for the Advanced Early Warning & Reconnaissance Systems (AEWRS) portfolio. This is a highly visible program area within the Surveillance & Tactical Radars Solutions (STaRS) portfolio working directly with another major defense contractor serving in all facets of the product lifecycle (production, sustainment and new development) for domestic USAF and international customers.
You will be expected to execute the growth strategy, vision and direction for successful execution of ongoing programs as well as delivering new business to the portfolio. The key tenets of the AEWRS portfolio include people-centric, customer-focused execution, product affordability, product integrity, and on-time deliveries.
This role is onsite located in El Segundo, CA.
What You Will Do
  • Accountability for profit and loss, program execution, and EAC inputs
    Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, support internal and external reviews with leadership and the customer(s)
  • Coordinating and aligning interactions, dependencies, and transactions directly with the customer(s)
  • Provide leadership and direction to a cross functional team
  • Understand and represent customer needs to leadership
  • Building and maintaining excellent relationships with the customer counterparts
  • Responsible for managing risk, opportunity, cost, quality and schedule performance
  • Expected to support domestic travel as needed

What You Will Learn
  • Executing and growing defense programs within the RTX Lifecycle Program Management (RLPM) Framework
  • Managing across functional teams
  • Building and leveraging customer relationships to deliver for customers and Raytheon
  • Financial management of defense programs

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
  • Leadership experience leading transition to production, production and/or sustainment programs
  • Experience managing cost, schedule, and technical performance for programs with use of program management tools such as Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Integrated Master Plan (IMP), Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), Risk and Opportunity Management, Scope Board, or similar business processes
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support) and/or administrative functions

Qualifications We Prefer
  • Program Management Level 4 or 5 Certification
  • Proven success creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, primes and internal peers
  • Experienced leader competencies, especially influential communications, strategic thinking, cultivating innovation, collaboration, developing talent, customer focus, and driving results
  • Effective interpersonal skills especially in team building and customer relationships
  • Strong communication, dedicated work ethic, a willingness to learn on the job, and a commitment to being an active participant in our team and customer focused culture
  • Experience working with U.S. Air Force or other customers on government programs (large/complex) with direct customer interfaces, both internal and external
  • Oversight and monitoring of supplier performance; develop preventive and corrective actions as necessary

The salary range for this role is 118,300 USD - 224,900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
