Job description

 

Our client, a well recoginized Data Centor Integration service provider, is seeking a Data Center Technician.  This is an excellent chance to advance your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  The position will begin as a contract with an opportunity to become a permanent emloyee with our client. 
Location:  Columbus, OH (Worthington/Lewis Center)
Position type:  Contract-To-Hire.
Shift Information
This is a 2nd Shift Position supporting Cutovers and Migrations.  The hours are 4 pm to 12:30 am M-F. 

Who We Are Looking For

We are seeking an experienced technician with 2 or more years of experience workng in Datacenters, who possesses a blend of technical expertise and effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a relevant role and ideally some experience in leadership.
The following qualities are essential:

  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication in English, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and strong email etiquette.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with rack/stack operations.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and break-fix for switches, routers, and servers.
    • Experience in decommissioning cables and active gear.
    • Smart hands support capabilities.
    • Basic understanding of network protocols and data center operations.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
    • Experience with cutovers or migrations is a plus
