    Field Service Engineer
    Location:

    Salary Range: $90k to $100k
    About the Role
    We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with hands-on semiconductor equipment experience to join our client's growing engineering team. This position is ideal for early-career engineers (2-5 years of experience) who are passionate about advanced semiconductor technologies and want to continue building their technical expertise through direct customer interaction, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex systems.
    You will work closely with global engineering teams and customers to ensure the optimal performance of precision inspection and metrology equipment. This role requires strong technical problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a collaborative mindset.
    Key Responsibilities
    • Provide on-site installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of complex semiconductor inspection and metrology systems.
    • Perform preventative maintenance and system upgrades on advanced equipment in cleanroom environments.
    • Interface directly with customers to assess issues, deliver technical solutions, and ensure high system uptime.
    • Support system integration, calibration, and testing processes.
    • Collaborate with global engineering teams to resolve challenging technical issues.
    • Provide documentation, service reports, and feedback to management.
    • Participate in equipment evaluations, training sessions, and product improvement initiatives.
    • Support the local service operation and contribute to a strong customer relationship network.
    Qualifications for the Role
    Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Physics, Materials Science, or Computer Engineering (Chemistry accepted if candidate has hands-on FSE or similar engineering experience).
    • 2-5 years of professional engineering experience in the semiconductor equipment industry (not a technician-level role).
    • Hands-on experience using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, and hand tools.
    • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
    • Familiarity with lasers, vacuum systems, and optical systems.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work with international teams.
    • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally for customer support and training.
    • U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder.
    Preferred:
    • Bilingual in Japanese or Mandarin.
    • Experience with photomask, mask inspection, metrology (EUV/DUV), lithography, optics, camera systems, lasers, or robotics.
    • Prior experience with installation projects lasting 12+ weeks, involving end-to-end sustainment and maintenance.
