Senior Clinical Information Systems Analyst

Pay Range: $55–$59/hr.


We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Information Systems Analyst to support ambulatory clinical applications within a healthcare IT environment. This role plays a key part in application support, system implementation, workflow optimization, and ongoing maintenance of clinical systems.


The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on healthcare application experience and the ability to translate complex clinical workflows into scalable technical solutions. This role includes both operational support and project-based responsibilities such as system upgrades, testing, and collaboration with clinical and technical stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for clinical applications, including incident resolution and service requests
  • Lead and support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancement initiatives
  • Analyze clinical workflows and translate business requirements into system design and technical solutions
  • Develop, execute, and document test plans for system changes, enhancements, and upgrades
  • Troubleshoot application issues and interface/integration problems (inbound and outbound)
  • Collaborate with clinical staff, IT teams, and vendors to ensure system performance and usability
  • Create and maintain system documentation, user guides, and SOPs
  • Support end-user training and adoption of system enhancements
  • Identify risks, issues, and improvement opportunities; recommend and implement solutions
  • Participate in project activities including task coordination and deliverable review
  • Ensure systems meet operational, regulatory, and infrastructure requirements
  • Participate in on-call rotation to support 24/7 operations


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • (Or 4+ years of additional relevant experience in lieu of degree)
  • 5+ years of healthcare IT experience, including system support, implementation, and testing
  • Experience supporting clinical applications such as Revenue Cycle systems and PowerChart
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to independently resolve complex issues
  • Experience supporting clinical workflows in healthcare environments
  • Hands-on experience creating and executing test plans and validating system functionality
  • Strong documentation skills with ability to translate technical concepts for business users
  • Experience troubleshooting system interfaces and integrations
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to support on-call rotations and flexible schedules


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with ambulatory clinical systems
  • Prior healthcare IT consulting experience
  • Exposure to workflow optimization and system standardization initiatives


Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel between sites as needed
  • Strong stakeholder communication and professionalism
  • Ability to independently manage issues through full resolution
