Job Description

Duties:
As a Structural Engineer, you will provide design and construction oversight for structural engineering tasks on assigned SRR Engineering Teams. Responsibilities include:

• Conduct analysis of structural systems for static and dynamic loads using manual calculations and computer programs.
• Design concrete, steel, aluminum, stainless steel, timber, and composite structures.
• Perform foundation and anchorage design.
• Conduct structural analyses for impact, overpressure, and accident conditions.
• Prepare CSI specifications and review vendor documents.
• Interface with vendors, fabricators, and other engineering organizations, which may require occasional off-site travel.
• Provide engineering services using SRR processes and procedures under programmatic guidance.

Qualifications

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or current registration as a Professional Engineer in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
  • Proficiency in STAAD software.
  • Working knowledge of national codes and standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD and LRFD), ACI, AWS, NFPA, and OSHA.
  • Preferred: Experience with 2D Microstation CAD software.
• Skills: Ability to perform field walkdowns of systems.

Work Hours:
A standard 40-hour work week is required. SRS offers various work schedules, including:

• 5/8s: Eight hours per day, five days a week.
• 4/10s: Ten hours per day, four days a week.
• 9/80s: Nine hours per day, with five days in Week A and four days in Week B.

Workdays exclude SRR holidays, and each day includes a 30-minute lunch.

Security Access:
A security clearance is not required for this position.

• Business Tools - understanding and proficiency with business tools and technology, including Microsoft Office. Performance Incentives: Due to the nature of our consulting engagements there are performance incentives associated with each new client that each employee works to pursue and support.
