The role

Our Account Managers support the delivery of high-quality medical communications across publications, events, strategic programmes, and client initiatives. Working closely with the Client Services team, they ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities include:

  • Day-to-day client and account management; maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring strategic objectives are met, and overseeing the smooth progression of projects from briefing through to completion
  • Managing timelines, coordinating with Editorial and Studio teams, to ensure effective communication across internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong financial oversight, including managing budgets, monitoring account health, and ensuring revenue and recovery targets are achieved
  • Identifying and acting on business development opportunities within existing accounts. This is done by contributing to proposals and being watchful of the market and client ideas/requests and feedback
  • Financial management and support through effective communication, trackers and status reports. Prompting to the team where overages or changes are anticipated.
  • Project management; various tasks occurring simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment
  • Account planning; supporting strategic development of assigned brands/accounts in collaboration with your Account Director
  • Assuring that high-quality deliverables are being developed with timelines, budget and compliance in mind
  • Facilitating regular client/account meetings jointly with the editorial team leader
  • Ensuring strategic objectives are being met by regularly monitoring projects vs strategic plan and market developments
  • Ensuring key messages are incorporated into deliverables by conducting commercial reviews of all projects at key stages
  • Anticipating client reactions to issues/circumstances and addressing these proactively for the best outcome to the client and Prime
  • Preparing contact reports from client meetings for circulation to client/account teams -face-to-face, videoconference and telephone calls
  • Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with external teams (clients, KOL's etc)
  • Managing the initiation of projects in accordance with SOPs and ensuring that a brief, budget and timeline are all approved by client and all stakeholders (as appropriate)
  • Directing contracted logistics vendor or consultant on assigned projects and monitoring progress to ensure high level of delivery

Requirements

  • >4 years of client services experience at a healthcare/medical education/advertising/communications agency or similar
  • Experience organizing and attending scientific meetings (e.g. congresses, symposia, advisory boards)
  • Strong project management and project delivery skills
  • Relationship development skills - client handling/networking
  • Ability to mentor junior staff
  • Strategic understanding of project / account objectives and contribution to strategic account planning
  • Excellent interpersonal/relationship development skills working with both colleagues and clients 
  • Sound judgement and solid problem-solving skills - able to identify issues and find suitable solutions
  • Ability to effectively communicate, lead and delegate
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - where multiple projects are in motion - while being mindful of timelines and budget expectations
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Motivation and desire to learn and grow within Client Services
