Beer Capitol in Sussex, WI now hiring for a On-Premise Sales Relief Representative.  The Sales Relief Representative supports on-premise sales representatives with merchandising and runs sales routes when sales representatives are unavailable assisting with inventory management, submitting sales orders, answering questions about pricing and conducting surveys. 


Responsibilities:

1. Keeps up to date on customer credit status and is responsible for money collections on outstanding invoices. 

2. Monitors and assists customers with inventory management (product availability, new product placement, stock rotation, seasonal changes, promotions, sales trends)

3. Introduces and sells new brands and packages

4. Conducts and tracks supplier surveys

5. Places and delivers hot shot orders to customer premises

6. Maintains basic knowledge of product portfolio and promotions - wine, spirit and/or beer

7. Participates actively in sales meetings and on-site trainings

8. Interacts respectfully and maintains communication with team members inter-company departments (merchandisers and delivery drivers)

9. Develops and maintains positive relationships with on and/or off-premise accounts; proactively establishes contact and respectfully interacts with customers

10. Communicates and maintains pricing and programming information

11. Learns area routes and runs sales routes when sales representatives are unavailable. Assists with inventory management, submits sales orders, answers questions about pricing and conducts surveys

12. Works on special projects, merchandises and works with other sales representative when route coverage is not needed

13. Coordinates coverage of vacation schedule for sales representatives


On-Premise:


1. Follows quality assurance standards, monitors product codes and maintains ongoing product rotation on all date sensitive products

2. Suggests, utilizes, creates, places new and existing point of sale materials including menu cards and permanent signage 


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


1. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

4. Basic math skills, able to calculate pricing and promotion to generate cost of goods

5. Informal presentation skills

6. Intermediate computer skills are required including MS Office

10.  Adaptability and ability to assist a variety of internal customer groups and varying personality types on a daily basis; ability to work with challenging customers internally & externally

15. Knowledge of required steps of a sales call - PROFIT

16. Maintains basic knowledge of product portfolio and promotions - including wine, spirts and/or beer

17. Knowledge of supplier quality assurance standards

18. Basic eoStar knowledge, conduct inventory, navigate pricing, deal structures and submit orders 


Qualifications:


1. High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) required; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

2. Experience in related field (distribution, hospitality, supplier or beverage industry) is required

3. May need to work evenings, weekends and holidays as necessary

4. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation and proof of insurance is required

5. Ability to acquire and maintain necessary liquor salespersons permit

6. Required to be at least 18 years of age

7. Schedule flexibility, work hours may require early mornings, evenings and/or weekends

8. Live with-in or in close proximity of assigned territory (preferred) 


Physical Demands:


Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 40 pounds on a regular basis; beer sales - up to 160 pounds on an occasional basis

Must be able to crouch, reach and grasp

Must be able to sit in a car for extended periods

Able to safely operate industry tools including pallet jack, power tools, box cutter and customer-specific equipment
