Job Title: Civil Land Development Project Manager ( large national firm )
Location: San Diego, CA (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: $95,000 – $120,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Civil Land Development Project Manager to lead site development projects from concept through construction. This role is ideal for a licensed engineer who thrives in a client-facing, hands-on environment and is ready to step into a leadership role on a growing, multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage land development projects across California for public and private clients

  • Lead site design for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments

  • Coordinate internal engineering teams, survey staff, and subconsultants

  • Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure client satisfaction

  • Prepare and review civil design plans, grading, drainage, utility layouts, and reports

  • Communicate directly with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

  • Mentor junior staff and contribute to project planning and QA/QC

Qualifications:

  • BSCE required; Master’s preferred

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of California required

  • 5+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development

  • At least 1 year of experience as a project manager leading projects and client relationships

  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant design software

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment
