    Polsinelli has an immediate opening for a Billing Assistant in our St. Louis (Clayton), Kansas City, Denver, Dallas, or Nashville office. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, high-volume environment and be able to adjust as needed to the firms continually growing needs.
    CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Assist billing department team members with monthly tasks (i.e. production reallocations, T&U reports, ad hoc special projects, prebill edits, departed attorney prebills)
    • Prepare, print and distribute prebills according to firm standards
    • Revise prebills as directed in an accurate and timely manner
    • Assist with distribution of invoices
    • Manage and respond to incoming correspondence for the billing department email inbox, Regional email inboxes as well as the billing department hotline
    • Respond to all internal and external client inquiries promptly and completely; maintain the highest level of customer service
    • Assist billing department team members with Cost Backup and Cost Entry data support
    • Manage monthly employee account invoices and assist with Shareholder account invoices
    • Assist with office daily deposits
    • Work effectively with all Finance & Accounting functions to deliver high quality, accurate, timely, seamless service to attorneys and clients, in accordance with established firm policies
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word & Excel
    • Other duties as assigned

    Employees approved for flexible work arrangements are expected to be available and maintain a practice of reliable, consistent attendance at all times during the employees scheduled work shift including, but not limited to, Jabber/instant message, Zoom, email and voicemail, and by phone.
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Two-year degree preferred or related work experience
    • Professional service firm experience preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Highest standards of honesty and integrity
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    • Elite Enterprise/3E and Bill Blast experience a plus

    The budgeted salary range for this position is $45,000 - $55,000. Actual initial salary may differ from this range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location where the position is filled.
