    Job Description: Tool Maker | Allendale, MI Salary Range: $53,000 - $85,000 depending on experience Are you a meticulous professional with a passion for precision tooling and creating high-quality dies and molds? We are collaborating with companies in Allendale seeking experienced Tool Makers. If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are partnering with organizations in Allendale that are seeking Tool Makers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively.     • Fabricate, alter, and repair a wide range of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
    • Interpret blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine tooling specifications.
    • Set up and operate various machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM machines.
    • Perform precision measurements using micrometers, calipers, and other inspection tools to ensure accuracy.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing tooling to improve performance and longevity.
    • Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tooling applications.
    • Maintain and calibrate shop equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
    Recommended Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent on-the-job experience (typically 5+ years) in tool and die making
    • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
    • Strong understanding and practical application of various machining processes (milling, turning, grinding, EDM) and manual machining equipment
    • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, gauges) and ability to hold tight tolerances
    • Knowledge of different metal properties, heat treatment processes, and their application in tool making
