Job Description: CMM Programmer | Wayland, MI Salary Range: $61,000 - $93,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for precision measurement and ensuring dimensional accuracy? If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Wayland seeking CMM Programmers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute CMM programs for dimensional inspection of manufactured parts.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements to create inspection plans.
  • Perform first article inspections (FAI), in-process, and final inspections using CMM.
  • Analyze measurement data, identify non-conformances, and generate detailed inspection reports.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot CMM equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to resolve measurement issues and improve part quality.
  • Validate and optimize CMM programs for efficiency, accuracy, and repeatability.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software for CMM programming (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in inspection.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.
  • Experience with various CMM hardware and probe systems.
  • Proven capability in developing, validating, and troubleshooting CMM programs.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in CMM programming within a manufacturing environment.
