Shipping & Receiving Lead | Mason, MI

Salary Range: $53,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We are partnering with organizations in Mason that are seeking Shipping & Receiving Leads. Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of materials.
  • Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving associates, fostering a productive and safe work environment.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts and system updates.
  • Coordinate with production, quality, and logistics departments to optimize material flow and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies within the shipping and receiving department.
  • Operate and maintain material handling equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and international customs forms.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs in shipping and receiving.

Recommended Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a shipping/receiving role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a small team.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Proficient in using ERP systems for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
  • Demonstrated experience with forklift operation and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) for inventory management and transaction processing.
  • Forklift certification and experience operating various material handling equipment.
  • Proven ability to train and mentor junior shipping/receiving personnel.
  • Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
