EDM Operator | Delta Township, MI

Salary Range: $48,000 - $77,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Delta Township region seeking EDM Operators. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidates-not just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set up, and operate Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment.
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes.
  • Select appropriate electrodes, wire, and machining parameters based on material and part geometry.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and quality using precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on EDM machinery.
  • Maintain accurate production records and document process parameters.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize machining processes.

Recommended Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years experience operating Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles
  • Proficient in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Basic computer skills for machine operation and data entry

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems for production tracking.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics.
