Job description

SchedulerPBF Energy Inc. (NYSE:PBF) is one of the largest independent refiners in North America, operating through its subsidiaries, oil refineries and related facilities. We are seeking a talented Scheduler to join our team as a pivotal member that would play a key role here at PBF Energy. This role would be located onsite at our Company headquarters in Parsippany, NJ.

The Scheduler will serve as the key liaison between Trading, Gulf and East Coast refineries, and external counterparties to ensure the seamless coordination and execution of all purchase and sale deliveries across multiple commodities. This role supports the movement of Crude and Feedstocks, Clean Products, and LPGs through various modes of transportation, including-but not limited to-pipeline, terminal, barge, vessel, rail, and truck. Due to the operational demands of this role, the Scheduler must be available to support business needs on a 24/7 oncall basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule movements of Crude, Feedstocks, Clean Products, and LPGs via pipelines, terminals, barges, vessels, rail, and truck for the Gulf and East Coast region.

  • Coordinate all logistics associated with commodity movements to ensure timely and accurate execution.

  • Manage supply/demand balances, asset inventories, and daily logistical operations to support Trading strategies and refinery requirements.

  • Serve as a primary communication point with Traders, refineries, counterparties, pipeline operators, and other operational stakeholders.

  • Maintain strong internal and external relationships, ensuring consistent, clear communication.

  • Oversee multiple simultaneous operational activities, maintaining strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize in a fastpaced environment.

  • Monitor and resolve scheduling or delivery issues, ensuring uninterrupted flow of commodities.

  • Interpret, understand, and apply terms of Oil contracts, including logistics requirements, quantity/quality provisions, and commercial obligations.

  • Support inventory reconciliation, settlements, and other administrative and accounting processes; assist in resolving discrepancies or adjustments.

  • Accrue, verify, and reconcile secondary and operational costs associated with commodity movements.

  • Review and approve vendor and supplier invoices in accordance with contractual terms.

  • Input and maintain timely, accurate data within the ETRM system.

  • Execute additional related duties and adhoc requests as needed.

  • Availability to support business needs on a 24/7 oncall basis is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant industry experience may be considered.

  • 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or scheduling-preferably within the oil or energy sector.

  • Strong problemsolving and analytical abilities, with the capability to anticipate issues and engage appropriate stakeholders to resolve them.

  • Demonstrated ability to make sound, timely decisions in a fastpaced operational environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective, collaborative working relationships.

  • Proven ability to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Experience interacting with both internal and external customers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with crude oil, refined products, LPGs, or other commodity logistics.

  • Exposure to a dynamic trading environment with crossfunctional collaboration.

  • Familiarity with ETRM systems; experience with RightAngle preferred.

  • This position is on site 5 days a week.

The salary range for this position is $67,327.26 -$ 113,385.10.The compensation range listed in this posting is in compliance with applicable state law. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills and internal peer equity will be considered in determining the selected candidate's compensation. Salaries at the time of hire are typically in the lower to middle portion of the above range in order to provide the opportunity to reflect future performance-based increases. In addition to salary, PBF offers a comprehensive benefits package which includes bonus eligibility, health care, retirement benefits, and paid time off.
