Summary
Partner Engineering and Science is seeking a full-time Civil Engineer to work in our Asbury Park, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have 4-8 years of progressive design experience in land and site development projects, including preparation of site plans, subdivision, and regulatory agency applications. Also, having an interest in and/or experience with Solar, Renewable, and Sustainability projects is a plus!
  • Responsibilities and Duties
    • Team player and initiator who wants to help grow and expand a civil design department
    • Ability to maintain an overview of the entire project while continuing to attend to detailed technicalities
    • Site civil design for small to large-sized residential, commercial, and industrial projects for private clients
    • Design/drafting of site plans and subdivisions from concept plans through approvals/permits
    • Liaison with design professionals, including architects, environmental consultants, developers, builders, and contractors
    • Report preparation, including stormwater management reports
    • Permit application processing, including preparation of all supporting documents
    • Experienced with or willing to gain experience in civil engineering design of Solar, Renewable, and Sustainability projects

    Qualifications
    • Minimum 4-8 years of progressive design experience in land and site development, particularly in preparing plans and design production, preparing site plans, and subdivision applications
    • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
    • PE license in New Jersey or working towards a PE License
    • Experience in representing projects before approval authorities, such as Planning Boards, Zoning Boards, City Councils, etc. a plus but not necessary
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Storm water management design skills and thorough knowledge of current and pending New Jersey storm water rules
    • AutoCAD 3D proficiency
    • Organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects at once
    • Ability to meet deadlines and objectives, and to work under pressure
    • Quick learner with strong communication skills and a solid work ethic.
    • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

COMPENSATION
Salary range is $80,000 to $100,000. This is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role.
The pay scale for this role considers a wide range of factors when making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Please note that the disclosed pay scale estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic location where the position may be filled.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary incentive bonus program, which is dependent on various factors, including, but not limited to, individual and organizational performance.
