Job description

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a strategic and execution-focused Demand Planning Director to lead platform planning across Compute, Storage, and Networking rack infrastructure supporting Oracle's rapidly expanding global cloud footprint. This role is responsible for driving platform level rack plans to our suppliers that align with OCI business growth, data center expansion, and supply chain execution. 

The Demand Planning Director will serve as a key leader bridging business demand, engineering, the material and execution, and data center capacity planning.  The ideal candidate will have experience in consensus planning, and product lifecycle management with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, manufacturing, finance, sales, and manufacturing. 

This role will play a critical part in scaling OCI's next-generation infrastructure, including CPU, AI/GPU platforms, networking systems, and large-scale cloud deployments.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Demand Planning 

  • Lead platform planning for OCI Compute, Storage, and Networking racks across global manufacturing and deployment locations.  

  • Derive and maintain a consolidated consensus demand plan that aligns to the overall OCI business objectives.  

  • Translate demand forecasts into executable supply and manufacturing plans across all contract manufacturers.  

  • Lead demand planning discussions across capacity and finance teams as well as supply base. Develop scalable planning models for compute, GPU, networking, and storage platforms. 

  • Ensure successful ramp, transition, and lifecycle management of new hardware technologies and platforms. 

Buffer & Supply Strategy 

  • Define and manage warehouse inventory buffer strategies to balance supply continuity, deployment readiness, and inventory risk.  

  • Drive planning signals to suppliers and manufacturing partners by region and manufacturing location to support global deployment requirements.  

  • In conjunction with contract manufacturers and SCO manufacturing develop materials buffering and capacity strategies for risk mitigation. 

Strategic Planning 

  • Coordinate cross-functional activities between Product Development, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Data Center Delivery teams. 

  • Partner with Capacity Planning, Sales, Data Center teams, and Finance to align on long-range infrastructure planning for OCI hardware across all OCI business units.  

Planning Governance & Systems 

  • Establish critical KPIs and metrics for demand planning and monitor capacity planning performance. 

  • Drive key requirements for enhancement of ERP/MRP planning systems to improve visibility, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency. 

  • Identify opportunities for automation, process transformation, and planning system improvements.  

Cross-Functional Leadership 

  • Lead and influence global cross-functional teams across OCI Business Units, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Data Center Management, and Engineering organizations.  

  • Drive organizational alignment and operational execution across highly matrixed environments.  

  • Build executive-level reporting and communication frameworks to provide visibility into risks, dependencies, and planning performance.  

Leadership & Talent Development 

  • Build and lead high-performing global team in demand planning to support all Oracle Business Units (Compute, Storage, Networking). 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, collaboration, and operational discipline. 

  • Mentor team and develop organizational capabilities in advanced supply chain execution practices. 

  • Lead organizational transformation initiatives and process standardization efforts. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain demand planning or capacity planning, within cloud, hyperscale, semiconductor, or high-tech industries.  

  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including compute servers, networking hardware, storage systems, and AI/GPU platforms.  

  • Experience developing demand forecasts, supply plans, and inventory strategies in complex global supply chains.  

  • Expertise with ERP/MRP and supply chain planning systems such as Oracle Cloud SCM, SAP, or equivalent platforms.  

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority.  

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with experience in forecasting, scenario modeling, and executive reporting.  

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and executive presentation skills.  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Demand or Supply Planning, or related field preferred; Master's degree is a plus.  

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Experience supporting hyperscale cloud infrastructure or large-scale data center operations.  

  • Knowledge of AI/ML infrastructure planning and GPU supply ecosystems.  

  • Experience leading planning transformation initiatives or enterprise system implementations.  

  • Familiarity with manufacturing operations, rack integration, and global logistics strategies.
