Job description
The 3rd Shift Maintenance / Process Technician is responsible for maintaining the quality of the product run by providing safe and timely preventative maintenance and upkeep on production and facilities equipment. This role serves as troubleshooter to keep machines in running order.
Responsibility 1:
- Equipment Setup
- Ensure compliance to machinery safeguards and procedures
- Must comply with all safety rules and regulations
Responsibility 2:
- Assist with installation of all equipment of the site
- Assist with implementation of best practice systems for site Activity 2.3
- Troubleshoot and repair plant electrical/hydraulics/pneumatics and electronic (PLC) issues
Responsibility 3:
- Safe use of all tools, welders, electrical wiring
- Perform PM Levels 1, 2, & 3 and maintain maintenance logbooks
- Plant facilities upkeep – (HVAC, Compressors, Chillers, Electrical, Water Treatment)
Responsibility 4:
- Tool Change Activities & Documentation
- SMED and TPM Activities
- Perform Work Orders assigned
Responsibility 5:
- LOTO (Lock/out; Tag/out) expertise
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
- Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
- Must successfully complete all required training
- Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures.
Responsibility 6:
- Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
- Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping,
crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis
- Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times
Personal Background
- Requires a High School Diploma
- 2 year Technical degree preferred
- Experience with plastics work and/or blow molding is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability in team environment
- Must be able to work in the United States without the requirement for sponsorship or transfer of Visa now or at any time in the future.
