As a provider in our practice, youโ€™ll play a vital role in creating positive experiences for our patients and families. You will:

  • Manage routine developmental screeningsย

  • Nurse Practitioner (NP):Bachelor of Science andmasterโ€™s degree innursing (PNP or FNP)ย 
  • Physician Assistant (PA): Bachelor of Science (prior to 2020) or a masterโ€™s degree in physician assistant studiesย

Job Summary: ย ย 

The role of the pediatric primary care midlevel provider is to provide care to children from birth through 18 years of age with an in-depth knowledge and experience in pediatric primary healthcare including well childcare and prevention/management of common pediatric acute illnesses and chronic conditions. ย This care is provided to support optimal health of children within the context of their family, community, and environmental setting. ย Adheres to all office policies and procedures and the employee manual. ย ย 

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provides health maintenance care, including well-child and sick-child exams.ย 
  • Manages routine developmental screeningsย 
  • Provides Diagnosis and treatments for common childhood illnessesย 
  • Teaches and counselschildren and their families on issues related to healthย 
  • Performs selected administrative duties andassistsphysicians as part of the clinical teamย 
  • Providesaccurateand promptdocumentation for all patientsย 
  • Maintains informationofpatient handouts andassistswith officenewsletter as appropriateย 
  • Knowledge of medical equipment and common safety hazards and precautions,OSHA, knowledgeof computers and EHR systems.ย 
  • Ability tomaintainexcellent communication skills, confidentiality, and work well with children of allages,and their parents/legalguardians.ย 
  • Contributes to the development of policiesand procedures. ย 
  • Ability to manage caseload as assigned by physician or practice manager. ย 
  • Provides courteous and professional service to patients and their familiesย 
  • Participates inquality improvement initiativesย 
  • Performsother related work asrequired by their supervisor.ย
