Job description

Olive Recruiting is seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to join a leading heavy construction and specialized lifting organization based in. This individual will play a key role in overseeing field operations, coordinating crews, managing jobsite safety, and ensuring projects are executed efficiently and to the highest standards of quality. Location: Louisville, KY
Schedule: On-site, Monday through Friday
Compensation: Competitive base salary commensurate with experience, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off
Employment Type: Full-time, direct hire with client
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of field operations for assigned projects, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are consistently met
  • Plan and coordinate daily field activities including scheduling, Client, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance
  • Lead and mentor field crews to promote teamwork, accountability, and high performance
  • Conduct daily and weekly project meetings to review progress, safety, and upcoming tasks
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies, maintaining a culture of safety awareness and proactive risk prevention
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
  • Manage field documentation including reports, timesheets, material logs, and inspection records
  • Identify potential project issues or delays early and implement corrective actions to maintain schedule and budget
  • Oversee subcontractor coordination, quality control, and adherence to specifications and drawings
  • Ensure proper equipment operation, maintenance, and readiness for all jobsite activities
  • Foster strong communication between field teams, management, and clients to maintain transparency and accountability
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, rigging, or heavy-lift field supervision
  • Proven background leading crews on complex or large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety standards, project scheduling, and resource coordination
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate diverse teams
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and project specifications
  • Experience coordinating cranes, heavy-haul transport, or specialized lifting operations is preferred
  • Proficient in project documentation, daily reporting, and time management
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and professional integrity in all aspects of field operations
