Job description

Position : Sr. Pega Test engineer
Location: Sacramento, CA - Remote Till Covid
Duration : 6 to 12 Months
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Experience in Pega white box testing
Knowledgeable with use of Pega Out of the Box accelerators including - Clipboard & Tracer
Experience in validating Pega rules including Activities, Decision Tables, Decision Trees, Data Pages, Data Transforms, etc.
Day to day responsibilities of this the role:
Work as part of the scrum teams to test software applications from inception through completion
Oversee, guide a team of testers - review work on a timely basis
Write and maintain clear, concise and comprehensive test suites for functional, integration, and regression testing
Document software defects with clear detailed description using Jira and provide daily status reports of testing progress and issues
Apply advanced skills in SQL data retrieval from relational databases
Analyze data to identify and resolve problems
Conduct root cause analysis and advanced performance tuning for complex business processes and functionality
Applies, develops, and maintains quality assurance standards, techniques and procedures
Collaborate with product and technology leads to identify continuous improvement opportunities around quality
Provide function knowledge for automation testing
Good analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ensure quality product gets delivered to production
Ensure complete regression coverage
Writing SQL statements for data retrieval from relational databases
Advanced understanding of test automation and tools utilized in the industry
Ability to guide junior team members
