Summary
The Director of Business Applications is responsible for overall management of three distinct bodies of work: business systems (ERP, Financial Planning, Learning Management System, Time & Attendance, Document Management), IT testing, and the Office of the CIO. The role supervises integrated solution design, configuration, and development tasks, collaborates with IT and operational leadership, and partners with Departmental Directors to scope, strategize, prioritize, and solve inefficiencies. The Director reports to the Vice President, IT Applications.
Responsibilities Planning/Vision
Provides vision, forward thinking, and strategic planning proactively. Develops integrated strategies to achieve short- and long-term objectives. Communicates strategy effectively and leads the strategic planning process for the department, aligning with broader medical center plans.
Fiscal Management
Manages financial results through annual budget planning, operational budgeting, and performance oversight. Engages staff to contain costs, improve efficiencies, and identify growth opportunities. Holds self and others accountable for budget compliance and volume-adjusted budgeting.
Customer Service
Delivers excellent service to patients, physicians, employees, and other customers. Demonstrates strong communication skills, active listening, and rapport building. Promotes patient & family-centered care and establishes respectful workplace behaviors.
Operational Management / Quality in Everything We Do

Qualifications
Education Required: Bachelor's degree in information technology, healthcare administration, or related field.
Education Preferred: Master's degree in information technology, healthcare administration, or related field.
Experience Required: 5 years of progressive leadership experience with related experience in clinical, technical, team management, and/or project management.
