Our Information Technology for the Americas (ITA) group plays a major role in MUFG's mission to become the world's most trusted financial group. Its nearly 1,700 colleagues specialize in process engineering, software development, enterprise information security, technology operations, operational risk management, and project management. Their goal is to deliver superior solutions to MUFG's clients at the quality they define and to be, above all, trusted stewards of the bank's computing assets and processes.
The Information Technology team is responsible for IT, Data and AI strategy, infrastructure, architecture, corporate systems and applications for the company in addition to securing the company's systems within our cybersecurity space. In this capacity, we support the lines of business and corporate functions. Our goal is for our technology services to help improve client experience, empower colleagues in their work, and drive efficiency across the organization.

Summer Analyst Program Overview: (6/7/2027 ~ 8/13/2027)
Valuable Work Experience: Our 10-week summer program provides rising seniors and first year graduate students with hands-on experience and on-the-job learning within a high-paced banking environment. Summer Analysts work on meaningful projects and team assignments which enable them to build skills and technical expertise.
Networking Opportunities: MUFG's Summer Analysts come from a wide variety of schools and backgrounds and are encouraged to collaborate with colleagues and senior leaders firm-wide. • Chief Data & AI Office: Chief Data & AI Office (CDAO) sets the enterprise strategy for data and artificial intelligence, partnering with business and technology stakeholders to make data a trusted, well-governed asset. The team leads data governance and data quality, analytics and reporting platforms, and the responsible adoption of AI, delivering insights and automation that support sound decision-making across the organization.

• Enterprise Information Security: Enterprise Information Security (EIS) protects the firm's information assets, employees, and customers from evolving cyber threats. EIS manages the bank's cybersecurity program and identity and access management environment, partnering across people, process, and technology to reduce risk and keep the business running securely.

Qualifications:

• You are a rising senior or first year graduate student, graduating Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
• A major in Information Systems, Computer Science, Technology Management, AI/Machine Learning, Software Engineering, Data Science, Project Management, Cybersecurity Governance, Data Analytics, Management Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, Management Information Systems. Other analytic disciplines may be considered
• Strong verbal and written communications skills
• Strong computer skills and are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite primarily excel and PowerPoint
• Exposure to process design/improvement, and/or change management disciplines and experience driving/supporting change initiatives (preferred for operations roles)
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Ability to work equally well on self-managed or team projects, in a quickly evolving environment
• Some hands-on experience or foundational knowledge of one or more of the following: C/C#, Java, Python, R, SQL, APIs and integration concepts, JIRA, Agile/DevOps practices, business and systems analysis, process design/improvement, change management, data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake), data governance and data quality concepts, machine learning fundamentals, SIEM, SOAR, Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Visio or other workflow diagramming tools, databases, data structures, algorithms, cloud computing, networking, storage, mobile computing, operating systems (Windows and Linux), and an interest in capital markets or cash management preferred

The typical base pay range for this role is $30 per hour. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
