Job description
Field Service Technician
We are a leader in the design and production of high-shear mixers, media milling, and processing equipment, is looking for a skilled Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing our equipment at customer sites across the country. This role requires a high degree of mechanical technical skill, exceptional communication abilities, and a strong focus on customer service to ensure that all work is performed to our standards.
Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and repair manufacturing equipment at client locations.
- Conduct on-site diagnostics to detect mechanical issues with equipment.
- Provide training and support to clients on the proper operation of equipment.
- Prepare detailed service reports and maintain records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Ensure all safety protocols and procedures are followed during site visits.
- Communicate effectively with customers, updating them on repair statuses, schedules, and technical solutions.
Travel Requirements:
- Local travel to client sites 50% of the time.
- Overnight travel within the United States 20% of the time.
- The remaining 30% will be spent in our shop, collaborating with the mechanical assembly, welding, or machining departments.
Qualifications:
- Technical degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician or similar role.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
