Job description

Job Summary
The Press Brake Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating and programming high-precision
power brake machines to bend, and form sheet metal components for our packaging
equipment. This role involves working with heavy-duty machinery, specifically
our Amada HFE 220-4 and Bystronic Xpert Pro 250/4300. The operator ensures all
parts are formed to precise specifications and quality standards, maintaining high
throughput and on-time delivery for shop operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Machine Operation: Set up and operate CNC press brakes, including the Amada
HFE 220-4 and Bystronic Xpert Pro 250/4300, to perform precision forming and
bending operations on stainless steel.
Surface Quality: Maintain strict standards for material handling to prevent
scratches, marring, or contamination of stainless-steel surfaces.
Tooling Setup: Select, position, and align appropriate dies and tooling based on
material thickness and blueprint specifications.
Precision Bending: Perform complex bends and sequences.
Quality Inspection: Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers,
protractors, and height gauges to ensure quality output and blueprint adherence.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling to ensure
longevity and safety.
Safety: Enforce and follow workplace safety standards, including proper use of
PPE. Team Support: Assist team members in other fabrication areas as needed to
meet daily production goals.
Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area (5S).
Other: Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC Press Brake operation.
Proven track record of successful setup and operation in a precision metal
fabrication environment.
Technical Skills:
o Experience with Amada Operator or Bystronic ByVision CNC controls is
highly preferred.
o Proficiency in reading and understanding complex mechanical blueprints.
o Strong knowledge of flat pattern layout and bend allowances.
o Strong attention to detail is required.
Leadership/Soft Skills: Independent thinking, strong organizational abilities, and
a commitment to quality. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work
as part of a team.
Physical: High energy level required; able to stand for long periods of time and
safely lift to 50 pounds at varying frequencies.
Education: High School diploma or GED
