Job Description

We are seeking skilled and motivated CNC Machine Operators to join our growing manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC machining principles and experience operating a variety of CNC milling machines. Great opportunity for a new graduate to gain experience and grow into a full machinist.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC milling machines to produce high-quality parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Load and unload parts from machines, ensuring proper fixturing and clamping.
  • Select and change cutting tools and adjust machine settings as required.
  • Monitor machining processes, identify and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  • Work with setup machinist to coordinate machining of work pieces.
  • Inspect parts for accuracy and conformance to quality standards using appropriate measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating CNC milling machines or completion of a relevant vocational or technical school program in CNC machining.
  • CAD/CAM knowledge is helpful but not required
  • Able to read micrometer, gauges and comparator. Also able to read blueprints.
  • Good computer skills and math skills
  • Good verbal & written communication skills
  • Good organization skills; able to prioritize and plan multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-motivated; proactive in improving processes and anticipating needs/problems
  • Team player; able to work well with a wide variety of people
  • Quality and safety focused
  • Able to read and write fluently in English
  • Must be willing to work some overtime
