    Job description

    Markon is seeking a Structural Engineer to support construction projects. This role will work within a project team environment to define project scope, develop technical documentation, review drawings, and provide engineering support during the construction phase for building and utility projects. The Structural Engineer will coordinate with sponsors, facility staff, contractors, and architectural engineering firms to support successful project delivery.


    • Support construction projects within a project team environment
    • Develop and define project scope with project sponsors
    • Develop specifications, cost estimates, and drawing reviews
    • Provide engineering support during construction phases for building and utility projects
    • Oversee architectural engineering firms in the development of concept designs, construction documents, and cost estimates
    • Coordinate and interact with facility staff and contractors
    • Perform structural engineering calculations and technical evaluations
    • Support construction administration activities including submittal reviews, RFIs, and construction inspections

    • Must have active DOE L clearance or a DoD secret clearance to be considered
    • Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering
    • Experience performing structural engineering tasks, including development of contract documents, calculations, and cost estimates
    • Working knowledge of building codes and standards
    • Experience with construction administration, including submittal review, RFIs, and construction inspections
    • Potenial for telework up to 20%
