Job description

Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Lead HVAC Engineer to lead HVAC design and engineering efforts for a groundbreaking capital project. In this role, you’ll provide technical direction, ensure design quality, and coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC) contractors to deliver high-performance HVAC solutions that align with project goals, safety expectations, and industry standards. Key Responsibilities
• Lead and develop HVAC system designs from concept through construction support for major projects.
• Review and ensure quality of HVAC design deliverables from internal teams and EPC partners, including calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, controls, structural) to integrate HVAC systems effectively.
• Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, and other relevant guidelines.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to engineers and technical staff.
• Support project planning, constructability reviews, and contractor coordination throughout the design and implementation process. Qualifications
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (required).
• 8–10 years of engineering experience, including HVAC design and delivery of capital projects.
• Experience working with and managing EPC contractors and reviewing their HVAC design outputs.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, load calculations, equipment selection, and integration.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA) and their application to design and construction. Preferred:
• Professional Engineering (PE) license.
