Job description

Job Title: Senior Application ProgrammerScope of Services

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop, administer, configure, and support Microsoft Power Applications, .NET applications, Microsoft Power BI dashboards/reports, and SharePoint solutions.

  • Lead application deployment processes and ensure alignment with State standards.

  • Set up, configure, and collaborate with State teams on infrastructure implementation (e.g., databases, servers, and related components).

  • Implement integrations with State Enterprise Architecture Services, including APIs, Identity Management, and related services.

  • Develop application-specific failover strategies to ensure services meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Develop integration strategies and validation processes to incorporate audit-ready capabilities.

  • Collaborate with business and technical subject matter experts to gather and understand requirements. Facilitate meetings, testing activities, and other tasks necessary for successful implementation.

Mandatory Expertise & ExperiencePower Platform & Application Development

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:

    • Power Platform development (Model-Driven Apps, Canvas Apps, PCF Controls, Power Automate, Power BI)

Software Development

  • 5+ years of experience in any combination of the following:

    • C#

    • ASP.NET Core

    • JavaScript

    • HTML/CSS

    • Entity Framework

Additional Required Experience

  • Experience implementing Power BI dashboards for public consumption.

  • Experience using Visual Studio and Azure DevOps (including source control and pipelines).

  • Experience working with SSIS, SSRS, and/or SQL Server (T-SQL).

Preferred (Not Mandatory) Experience

  • Experience implementing technical solutions for the State of Louisiana, Department of Public Safety.

  • Experience leading client engagements from strategy to solution implementation (including governance, operating models, design, delivery, deployment, and ongoing maintenance).

  • Experience leading a team of developers.

  • Experience with Agile and/or Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Certifications

  • Power Platform Developer Associate

  • Power Platform App Maker Associate

  • Microsoft D365 Fundamentals

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM Applications Specialist

  • Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online Deployment
