    Compensation

    The salary for this role is $137,000 - $155,000. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.

    About the Role:

    The Senior Manager, Operational Systems is responsible for defining the strategy, governance, and continuous evolution of the company's core platforms supporting asset management and project development across energy infrastructure. This role owns CMMS, project management, and procurement systems, ensuring they are integrated, scalable, and aligned with business priorities and financial controls and supporting current ERP D365 team.

    As the business owner of operational systems, this individual ensures platforms are configured and governed to support standardized workflows for work orders, project execution, procurement activities, and associated spend. The role drives system architecture, data governance, and platform roadmaps, establishing consistency across asset management, capital projects, and vendor management workflows.

    Working across accounting, operations, development, and IT, this role ensures systems deliver transparency, discipline, and control over budgets, approvals, and spend, while enabling informed decision-making across the organization.

    Responsibilities

    What you will do:

    • Define and execute the strategy and roadmap for operational systems, aligning platforms with business objectives, growth plans, and financial governance requirements
    • Serve as the enterprise owner of CMMS (IBM Maximo) and ERP project management and procurement platforms with accountability for performance, scalability, continuous improvements and long-term evolution and supporting current ERP D365 team.
    • Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards for work order management, project execution, procurement, and vendor management workflows
    • Design and govern system-enabled processes for budget planning, approval workflows, and spend management across operations and capital projects
    • Lead system architecture and integrations across platforms, ensuring seamless data flow, consistent master data, and reliable financial reporting
    • Oversee the administration and optimization of Maximo and ERP modules supporting asset management, maintenance, project tracking, and procurement
    • Govern integration between Maximo and ERP platforms, including vendors, assets, projects, and cost structures, to ensure consistency and accurate financial postings
    • Define and enforce procurement system controls, including vendor setup, approval workflows, and spend authorization frameworks
    • Partner cross-functionally with accounting, development, operations, supply chain, and IT to align systems with business processes and drive adoption of standardized practices
    • Develop reporting frameworks and dashboards to support operational performance, capital tracking, vendor management, and financial oversight
    • Establish and maintain data governance standards to ensure accuracy, consistency, and auditability across systems
    • Lead vendor engagement for system providers, including performance management, contract oversight, and service delivery
    • Provide leadership, training, and guidance to system users and supporting resources to drive adoption, data quality, and process compliance

    Ideally, you have

    • 10+ years of experience managing CMMS, EAM, project management, or procurement systems in asset-intensive industries (energy, utilities, infrastructure, industrials)
    • Demonstrated ownership of system strategy, governance, and roadmap development
    • Strong experience with system integrations, data architecture, and platform migrations
    • Proven ability to design and implement standardized workflows and enterprise governance frameworks
    • Experience enabling budget tracking, approval workflows, and spend management through operational systems
    • Deep understanding of asset management and capital project lifecycle processes
    • Understanding of accounting principles and their application within operational systems, including project accounting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
    • Experience with IBM Maximo (or similar CMMS/EAM platforms)

    Preferred technical experience

    • Experience overseeing Maximo configuration and administration (Work Orders, Assets, Locations, Preventive Maintenance, Inventory, and Purchasing modules), including user roles, workflow automation, and escalation rules
    • Experience administering ERP project management and procurement modules, including project structures, budget management, procurement workflows, and financial integration
    • Familiarity with Maximo-to-ERP integrations, including master data synchronization (assets, vendors, cost centers) and financial data flows
    • Experience leading vendor engagement and coordinating with external system providers
    • Track record of driving cross-functional initiatives across accounting, operations, development, and IT
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience building reporting frameworks and dashboards
    • Experience leading system implementations or large-scale enhancements
    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field (advanced degree a plus)
