Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and evaluations to identify clients' treatment needs.
• Develop and implement individualized therapy strategies based on clinical findings and best practices.
• Utilize various evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy.
• Engage in regular review processes to adapt treatment plans as therapy progresses, considering clients' feedback and progress.
• Maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards while ensuring confidentiality and client safety.
• Participate in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to enhance your skills and stay updated on mental health research.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Center Light Counseling Center, you will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families. Our client base encompasses various issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance use disorders. You will tailor your therapeutic approach to meet the unique needs of each client, recognizing and respecting their individual experiences and backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Colorado.
• A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical counseling setting.
• Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in counseling practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to establish rapport with clients from various demographics.
• A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and related technologies is preferred.

Preferred Experience

• Specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance misuse counseling is highly valued.
• Experience with culturally sensitive approaches to mental health care.
• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment protocols and outcomes measurement.
