Job description

LHH is partnering with a client to identify an HR Assistant for a temporary assignment covering an internal leave. This position starts with structured training and quickly transitions into a more independent, hands-on role. It's a great fit for someone who enjoys a fast-moving, employee-focused environment and is confident navigating systems while solving day-to-day HR inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary contact for employee questions related to HR processes, payroll, and benefits
  • Manage and resolve inquiries through a case management system, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up
  • Take initiative on outbound communication to collect necessary details and bring open cases to resolution
  • Assist with system support, including login issues, password resets, and general user navigation
  • Review employee data and help determine eligibility for various HR-related processes, including rehire status
  • Provide administrative support throughout onboarding and other stages of the employee lifecycle
  • Escalate complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate internal teams while maintaining clear communication
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in HR support, payroll, customer service, or a shared services environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of an organization
  • Comfortable handling phone-based interactions and managing follow-ups
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
